You will provide Mechanical Design solutions in an automation environment reporting directly to the Mechanical Design Manager and receiving project direction from a designated Design Lead.

Junior

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical design support to Production and Engineering Teams
  • Simple jigs and fixtures design using SolidWorks
  • Prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing and bill of materials

Level Of Education/Experience

Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist/Technician (BSc. P. Eng. or CET.) recent or in progress. Entry level design experience

Intermediate

Job Responsibilities – Junior plus

  • Prepare detailed and more complex jig and machine design models and bill of materials for equipment and sub-assemblies
  • Specify appropriate purchased components for mechanical assemblies
  • Perform load and stress calculations if required
  • Mentor junior designers

Education/Experience

  • Engineering Degree or Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma
  • 3 - 5+ years of direct working experience with automated welding and assembly equipment

Senior

Job Responsibilities – Intermediate plus

  • Prepare detailed jig and machine design concepts using part data and GDT drawings
  • Analyze designs and systems for compliance to customer specification

Education/Experience

  • Engineering Degree or Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma
  • 5 - 8+ years of direct working experience with automated welding and assembly equipment

  • Positive attitude and works well as a member of a team
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail disciplined approach to work
  • Ability to work overtime

What We Offer

  • Direct Impact: Report directly to the Mechanical Design Manager.
  • Compensation: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00* Competitive salary and a generous performance-based commission structure. * The actual compensation a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
