Terra Breads is a growing and dynamic industry leader in Artisan Breads and Granola made in small batches with quality ingredients. Our products are sold through grocery retail stores and foodservice partners across Canada and the US West Coast, and in our two Bakery/Cafés in Vancouver.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Vice President Sales & Marketing, the Business Development Manager owns Bread and Granola sales growth by developing relationships at both the head-office and store level. You will partner with category managers and buyers at major and independent accounts while also working directly with store teams with in-store visits to drive execution, identify opportunities, and grow sales.
This role is on-site, based at our Vancouver head office. The successful candidate will work regularly from our head office/bakery facility and travel throughout the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining strong retailer relationships at both head office and store levels
- Utilizing data, in-store observations, and consumer insights to drive sales growth
- Developing customer plans, promotional programs, and growth initiatives
- Identifying distribution gaps and category growth opportunities across retail accounts
- Negotiating and monitoring trade spend and promotions
- Account planning, reporting, forecasting, and monthly sales analysis
- Conducting store visits to monitor distribution, merchandising, pricing, competitive activity, and overall retail execution
- Leading new product launches and in-store promotions

Ideal candidates will have:
- 3+ years of relevant business development/account management experience
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, sales, or equivalent experience
- Driver’s license with access to a vehicle
- Demonstrated skills in consultative selling, networking and negotiations
- A self-initiating and proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams
- Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment
WE OFFER
- Salary range of $85,000 - $120,000
- Candidates with additional experience or higher compensation expectations may be considered
