Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Technical Analyst – User Support Services to support a major healthcare technology initiative with the Government of Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will provide onsite technical support, device deployment, desktop troubleshooting, and end-user assistance within healthcare facilities across the Yarmouth region.

This is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals with strong desktop support experience, exceptional customer service skills, and hands-on experience supporting end users in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and remote technical support to healthcare staff and end users.
  • Deploy, configure, and support desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, and accessories.
  • Perform hardware refresh and replacement activities.
  • Image, configure, and deploy new devices.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Support workstation relocations and physical equipment installations.
  • Assemble and configure Workstations on Wheels (WOW Carts).
  • Document support activities, deployments, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Assist with technology rollout initiatives and other support-related tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • IT Diploma, Computer Systems Technician Diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education.
  • Experience providing onsite desktop and end-user technical support.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows-based hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable working in hospital and clinical environments.
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment and workstations.
  • Valid Criminal Record Check (RCMP) or ability to obtain one.
