Position Summary

• Enthusiasm and love for children
• Effective classroom management skills
• Provide children with a “prepared & enhanced environment”. This includes making materials to support the individual needs of the students.
• Instruct children in each area of the classroom: giving presentations and lessons in all curriculum areas.
• Encourage individual work time to promote independence as well as group work to promote socialization.
• Enable children to be as independent as possible.
• Always maintain a high level of professionalism.
• Follow and implement health and safety standards and protocols.
• Conduct parent/teacher interviews.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with students, parents, and co-teachers.
• Assist with planning and implementation of school special activities and celebrations.
• Prepare program documentation.
• Maintain & enhance knowledge, skills and abilities through on-going education and professional development activities.
• Responsible for assisting with toilet independence learning while demonstrating respect for a child.
• Responsible for classroom cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: MACTE-accredited Montessori certification

Mandatory Requirements: Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certification; Updated Immunization & Current TB Screening; Criminal Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector).

Required experience: Preferred 3 years teaching experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
