We are currently seeking FT Nights Security Guards to support operations within Red Deer Polytechnic. This respected, high‑responsibility role is essential in ensuring safety, security, and operational continuity.

About the Role

In this position, you will provide site security while delivering professional, customer‑focused service to both staff and students. The role requires at least one year of security experience in Canada, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently using sound judgment. This is a physically active role involving extensive walking and routine patrols, and requires the use of computers, mobile applications, and two‑way radios to support daily operations.

What You Bring

  • Valid Alberta Security License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Driver’s License, Class 5 and access to a person vehicle
  • Minimum one year of security experience in Canada with strong customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Extensive walking and regular patrols throughout site
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weight as required
  • Physical stamina to perform duties in a dynamic campus environment
