About the Role
SC Partners Ltd., an emerging investment management firm specializing in alternative strategies, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations & Admin Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, managing and executing a variety of administrative & operational tasks, ensuring that they are handled accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate has prior experience within the investment industry; is familiar with the process of onboarding new investors (completion of subscription documents, reconciling wires, etc.); is extremely organized, adaptable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment alongside a fun group of people. We’re looking for someone who takes great pride in his/her work by paying attention to detail and completing tasks on-time and efficiently.
What You Will Do
• Coordinate and execute daily operational tasks to support business functions
• Lead company efforts with respect to client documentation & onboarding, order processing, and data entry – with a focus on accuracy & efficiency
• Help ensure compliance with both company procedures and industry regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members and external partners / service providers
• Contribute to process improvements and proactively help develop new operational policies
• Completion of other ad hoc duties or projects, as requested by management
What You Bring
• At least 5-years of experience in an operations or administrative role, preferably at a hedge fund or private equity firm
• Post-secondary education in business, operations, or a related field; completion of the Canadian Securities Course and/or similar courses is a definite asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and time management skills
• A strong desire to achieve both personal and organizational goals – the ultimate ‘team player’
• A great attitude and overall energy
