Christ the King High School in Leduc, AB is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and student-centered Special Education Teacher to lead learning in a LEAP (Learning Every Day Achieving Potential) classroom. The LEAP program provides an inclusive, supportive, and highly individualized learning environment for students with significant and diverse learning needs, ensuring every student is welcomed, valued, and able to participate meaningfully in school life. Programming in LEAP emphasizes functional academics, communication, emotional regulation, personal safety, health and wellness, and independence. Instruction is strengths-based, developmentally appropriate, and responsive to each student's unique learning profile, reflecting the program's commitment to helping students build confidence, self-advocacy, and lifelong learning habits.

The successful candidate is a caring, patient, and flexible educator who believes deeply in inclusive education and the potential of every learner. They create a structured, predictable, and relationship-rich environment; collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams; and design individualized learning experiences that honor student strengths while supporting diverse and complex needs. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of the Catholic faith or openness to work in a Catholic environment.

This position will begin August 26, 2026 and end June 30, 2027.
