Job Profile

What you will be doing

  • Responds to ITSM incidents and service requests
  • References & maintains ITSM knowledge
  • Software and hardware problem diagnosis and resolution
  • AV support
  • End user device support, imaging, building and upgrading
  • Answer client phone calls and requests
  • Implementation and installation of AV, computing hardware, other end user devices and peripherals
  • May participate with specific projects
  • Provide training to assist with problem resolutions
  • Support staff at City Hall and all other Corporate locations

Education

Two-year College Diploma in Computer Science or Similar

Experience and Knowledge

  • Two to three years previously related experience
  • In-depth knowledge of various operating systems from a performance tuning and revision installation/maintenance perspective
  • Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft client operating systems and computer hardware architecture and components
  • Familiar with computing peripherals such as MFP and scanners.
  • Familiar with smartphones, mobile devices and features.
  • Familiar with HEAT incident and service request ticketing system.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompt engineering

Comptia A+

Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.

Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)

Valid G driver's license.

Your compensation

This position is within Grade 7 of the inside workers union salary schedule and has an hourly range of $39.88 to $42.38.

Hours of work

The current regular hours of work (35 hours per week) are in accordance with the collective agreement, scheduled between 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
