Adult Day School PLAR Assessor

Position: Adult Day School Mature PLAR Assessor

Start: Effective Immediately

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8:30 am - 4:30 am

Location: Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre - Oshawa (540 Rossland Rd West)

Required:

• Certificate of Qualification / Interim Certificate of Qualification (must be in good standing)

Desired:

• Adult and Continuing Education Teaching Experience
• Guidance Part 1
• 2+ years of Mature PLAR experience working with adult students
• Knowledge of PPM132 as it applies to students aged 18+ and Grade 12 high school students \
• Knowledge and use of PLAR Intake Process and required PLE/EQV documentation to be included in Student OSR
• Guidance experience developing individualized student credit course plans and post secondary pathway preparation
• Ability to interpret SSGD, pre-99, 1999 – 2023, and current OSSD, post-secondary, and out-of-country transcripts to determine Mature PLAR eligibility
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel needed to maintain mandatory intake forms and spreadsheets, and high knowledge in the use of Microsoft TEAMS and PowerSchool

Rate of Pay:

• Will be paid according to the Continuing Education hourly rate, $57.84/hour, as per the current collective agreement for each designated day of the program.
