Shunter Driver

We are currently seeking a dependable and professional Shunt Driver (Class 1) to join our team for day shift terminal operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy a structured work environment, excel in coordinating trailer movements, and are committed to safety and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Safely move trailers and equipment within and outside the yard to support loading and unloading operations
• Coordinate with dock staff and dispatch to ensure smooth yard flow
• Perform daily inspections of tractors and trailers to ensure safety and compliance
• Maintain accurate yard checks and equipment positioning
• Ensure trailers are properly staged and ready for linehaul and P&D operations
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

What You’ll Need

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Valid Air Brake Endorsement
• Previous shunting or yard experience is an asset
• Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
