We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team. This is a highly important role responsible for the final quality control check on custom-made jewelry products before they are approved for delivery to our customers.

Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing the final inspection of custom-made jewelry to ensure each piece meets Spence Diamonds’ quality standards, order specifications, and presentation expectations before release. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, consistency, and sound judgment, and serves as a critical final checkpoint between production and the customer experience. The role reports to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform consistent, accurate visual inspection on fine-detail products
  • Ability to follow established quality standards, processes, and procedures in a time-sensitive production environment
  • Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with production, repair, and operations teams
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills for identifying and escalating quality issues
  • Previous experience in jewelry, luxury goods, manufacturing quality control, or fine-detail product inspection is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform final quality control inspections on custom-made jewelry products prior to customer delivery
  • Inspect products for craftsmanship, finish, stone setting, sizing, order accuracy, and overall presentation against company standards
  • Approve products that meet quality expectations and identify items requiring correction before release
  • Liaise with the Manufacturing Studio, Repair Department, and other internal teams to communicate issues and support timely rework
  • Maintain consistency, accuracy, and care in a fast-paced environment where product quality directly impacts customer satisfaction

Work schedule

This is a full-time role with a regular working schedule of 40 hours a week.

This posting reflects an open position with an expected start date of early July, 2026.

Compensation

  • $25.50 per hour
