Position: Art Teacher: Visual Arts 6-9

Employment Type: Part-Time 0.1 (3-4 hours per week)

Salary Range: $5,486-$8752 (dependent on education/certificate experience)

Job Description: Plan and implement instruction for Grade 6-9 Visual Art courses. Create individualized learning update comments, participate with parent-teacher conferences, track homework, lead devotions and pray with students. Participate in required school functions such as Pro-D days and awards nights.

A successful candidate will:

  • Possess or be in the process of attaining a British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate.
  • Be eligible to work in British Columbia.
  • Be willing to receive guidance from a mentor.
  • Know effective strategies for and be familiar with UDL and place-based learning.
  • Candidates should be interested in including learning opportunities outside the classroom on the school grounds or off-site.
  • Be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents.
  • Have strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Communicate a biblical worldview within class.
