Professional Staffing is recruiting on behalf of our client, a global leader in custom automation and advanced manufacturing solutions. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale automation and engineered systems projects from concept through final customer acceptance.

This is an opportunity for a project leader who enjoys solving complex challenges, building strong customer relationships, and driving successful outcomes in a highly technical environment.

In this role, you will serve as the central point of leadership for multiple custom automation projects, ensuring alignment between customer objectives, engineering execution, manufacturing schedules, and business goals. You will work closely with customers, engineering teams, operations, suppliers, and senior leadership to keep projects moving forward while proactively identifying and resolving risks before they impact delivery.

Success in this position requires a combination of technical understanding, commercial awareness, and exceptional leadership skills. You will oversee project performance, resource planning, timelines, budgets, profitability, and customer satisfaction while guiding cross-functional teams through the unique challenges that come with custom-built automation and engineered-to-order solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience within the custom automation industry.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex automation, robotics, machine-building, or engineered systems projects.
  • Strong experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risk, and customer relationships.
  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to interpret project financials and drive profitable execution.
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Robotics, Automation Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • PMP certification, or active pursuit of PMP certification, is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Assets

  • Experience leading Engineer-to-Order (ETO) projects.
  • Exposure to robotics, material handling, assembly automation, manufacturing systems, or turnkey capital equipment.
  • Familiarity with engineering design environments and tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Salary - $70-80/hour + other perks and benefits
