Canadian Natural has an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing field team of 33 people while playing a critical role in optimizing production (~6,000 boe/d) and supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations in the Fairview/Worsley area. Key Accountabilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to field staff through on-site work planning and day-to-day direction, while managing staff performance and spending over 60% of time in the field
  • Maximize safe well production and facility throughput by working closely with Production Foreman, Maintenance Foreman, SCC Coordinator, Technical and Administration teams to maintain runtime performance of over 97% from wellhead to sales
  • Provide leadership, knowledge and direction to field staff towards Canadian Natural's Safety Management Systems
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets, while maintaining cost control for your area
  • Maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

What You Bring to the Role

  • 10+ years of field experience in an operational, maintenance or technical role
  • Production Field Operations Certificate (required)
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or mentorship capacity, with strong communication skills
  • Proven project management skills in planning, preparations and execution
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of oil and gas economics
  • Power Engineering, Engineering degree, Technology diploma or Journeyman certification (preferred)
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification (preferred)
