Discover Brantford: A Great Place to Live and Work
Nestled along the picturesque Grand River, Brantford offers the perfect blend of small-town charm and big-city amenities. Known as the "Telephone City," it boasts a rich history, vibrant arts, and miles of beautiful trails. With an incredibly affordable cost of living compared to the GTA and tight-knit community safety, it’s a fantastic place to settle down. Best of all for commuters, the pharmacy is a quick, easy 25-minute drive from Hamilton, giving you the perfect balance of a peaceful workplace with easy access to the city.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated, community-minded Designated Pharmacy Manager to lead our team. This pharmacy is uniquely attached directly to a medical clinic, allowing for seamless collaboration with healthcare providers.
If you are looking for a management role without the chaotic rush of a traditional retail pharmacy, this is it. While our volume is approximately 1,500 prescriptions per week, the vast majority are methadone/suboxone prescriptions.
The workflow is incredibly streamlined and low-stress: the methadone is prepared utilizing an automated measuring device that dispenses automatically. The entire process is quick, clean, and remarkably easy, allowing the workload to be comfortably handled by a single pharmacist without needing pharmacist overlap.
Benefits & Perks
We believe in supporting our leaders both inside and outside the pharmacy. In addition to a highly competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive corporate benefits package designed for your peace of mind:
- Health & Dental Coverage: Full medical, vision, and dental care plans.
- Paid Time Off: Generous vacation days and paid personal/sick leave.
- Professional Support: Licensing fee coverage (OCP fees) and professional liability insurance reimbursement.
- Continuing Education: Financial support and resources for CE courses to maintain your professional development.
- Future Security: Enrollment in our company retirement/savings program with matching contributions.
Why Else Join Us?
- Unparalleled Autonomy: As the Pharmacy Manager, you set your own schedule. You can easily utilize CATC colleagues or contract relief pharmacists to cover the remaining operating hours on your days off.
- Robust Assistant Support: You are never alone. The site is open 65 hours a week, and we provide ~100 hours of Pharmacy Assistant (PA) coverage per week. There is always a PA on site with you, and we double up to two PAs during busier times when the clinic is open and the MDs are actively seeing patients.
- Modern Workflow: No tedious manual pouring. Automated dispensing devices make the specialized daily workflow fast and efficient.
- Sign-On Bonus Potential: While signing bonuses are typically rare in Southern Ontario, we are prepared to seek senior management approval for a sign-on incentive for the right candidate.
