Innovative Food Brands Ltd. (IFB) is an independently owned company that currently oversees management and franchising of Chopped Leaf and Ecobean. Our purpose is to create and provide an enjoyable food experience, incorporating our WOW philosophy and Core Values.
Currently we are looking for a Project Manager to join our Development Team! Reporting to the Director of Development, the Project Manager will support the department by playing a critical role in the following processes:
How you’ll make a difference
- Support all new store development and renovations from floorplan through to opening/re-opening
- Maintain regular communication with the team, contractors, franchisees, trades, vendors, and all internal stakeholders for each project to ensure effective coordination
- Manages general contractors, consultants, vendors, and suppliers
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, ensure that proper invoice and cost tracking is maintained throughout the life cycle of the project
- Prepare and review tracking all relevant information including quotes, invoices, budgets, status reports and project schedules
- Manage all permit applications and approvals required for projects
- Some travel may be required
- Administrative tasks and any other duties assigned by Construction Manager
The successful application will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Post secondary education in Building Technology, Construction Management or any related field
- 3-5 years project coordination experience within the restaurant or retail and franchise industry (on the client or contractor side), or other related experience
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans would be considered an asset
- Fundamental understanding of the development, design and construction industries including processes, procedures, drawings and permits
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; AutoCAD experience would be considered an asset
- A proven ability of consistently completing projects on time and within budget objectives
- Strong ability to manage challenging situations and people under tight timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to foster and maintain professional business relationships
- Must be able to travel to locations for site visits
This role is based out of our head office in Oakville, ON. Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day WFH.
Salary Range: $70K - 80K
