About The Role
Pro-Western Mechanical Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Analyst & Scheduler to support our growing mechanical project portfolio. This is a project controls role reporting directly to the VP of Operations, with a strong focus on maintaining project schedules, tracking deliverables, supporting manpower planning, and reviewing project cost forecasts.
The largest part of this role will be updating and maintaining schedules across all active projects using Microsoft Project. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to confirm progress, identify risks, track outstanding items, and provide clear reporting to support operational decision-making.
What You Will Do
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules across all active projects using Microsoft Project.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, critical path items, and upcoming constraints across multiple projects.
- Track project deliverables and outstanding action items, including submittals, procurement items, RFIs, change-related items, deficiencies, commissioning requirements, and closeout documentation.
- Prepare regular schedule, deliverable, and outstanding item updates for the VP of Operations.
- Maintain manpower projections based on project schedules, site sequencing, and upcoming workload requirements.
- Review project cost forecasts currently managed in Viewpoint Vista and help identify variances, trends, and items requiring follow-up.
- Compare schedule progress, manpower requirements, and project cost forecasts to support accurate project reporting.
- Work with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Foremen, and Site Supervisors to collect schedule updates and confirm project status.
- Help improve project controls processes, schedule templates, reporting tools, and workflows.
- Support project reporting, documentation, and other related duties as required.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination, scheduling, project controls, or project analysis, preferably in mechanical or construction.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent construction experience will also be considered.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and project scheduling principles.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to organize, review, and summarize project data.
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista, Procore, Microsoft Planner, or similar construction/project management systems is considered an asset.
- Understanding of construction sequencing, project milestones, manpower planning, and project reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
