Position: Casa Teaching Assistant – To Start Immediately or September 2024

Established in 2007, York Montessori School provides a high-quality educational experience where each child can achieve academic excellence while being cared for in a nurturing and stimulating environment. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our young learners’ early childhood experience.

York Montessori School is currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Teacher to enrich our school faculty. The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional patience, a nurturing disposition, and a genuine care for children.

Qualifications: Previous experience in childcare working with children aged 2.5 to 6 years old is a requirement for this position. Additional assets include Montessori Assistant training, fluency in French, and prior experience working in a Montessori School setting.

Successful Candidates Must Possess The Following

• Experience with children aged 2.5-6 years
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Positive interpersonal skills with students, parents, and faculty
• Good understanding of the Montessori philosophy (asset)
• Fluent in French with teaching experience (asset)
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR C + AED
• A current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check
• Updated Immunization Record
