At 204 Demolition & Salvage, we take things apart so great new things can rise in their place. We’re building a team of highly skilled, safety-minded tradespeople who take pride in their work. We are currently recruiting Skilled Labourers who are committed to safe, high-quality work in physically demanding environments and contributing to a collaborative, professional crew.
As a Skilled Labourer with 204 Demolition & Salvage, you’ll take on a key role in the safe and efficient completion of demolition projects. This position requires technical ability, precision, and a strong commitment to safety. You’ll work both independently and as part of a professional crew to execute complex demolition tasks that prepare sites for reconstruction and redevelopment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform more technical tasks involving the dismantling and removal of structural elements, including steel and reinforced concrete beams, columns, and supports.
- Safely operate and maintain power tools, such as breakers, cut-off saws, torches, and other various hand-held equipment.
- Work from blueprints, plans, or supervisor instructions to complete demolition tasks.
- Assist with site preparation, including setting up barriers, signage, and protective coverings.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and hazard controls.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in demolition, construction, or related trades, or equivalent transferable skills.
- Experience on commercial and/or industrial job sites is an asset.
- Solid understanding of demolition methods and job-site safety.
- Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of material handling, rigging basics, and equipment safety.
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
- Experience and certifications in the use of powered equipment is a plus.
