Position: DB2 DBA

Location: Toronto ON

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database systems with a strong focus on DB2 and MySQL environments
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and efficiency
• Design, implement, and manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all database platforms
• Monitor database health, conduct capacity planning, and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to support deployments and database design
• Implement and enforce database standards, governance, and best practices
• Automate routine database tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency
• Provide production support, incident management, and root cause analysis for database-related issues
• (Nice to have) Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and experience managing databases in cloud environments
