NNSL Media, a division of Black Press Media, publishes six award-winning newspapers, two websites

and multiple social media channels, covering the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

We have an immediate opening for a Permanent, Full-time MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST.

Reporting to the Coordinating Editor, the ideal candidate will have a journalism degree or equivalent

work experience who is proficient in photography and has an interest in the North. The position is based

in Yellowknife, capital of the Northwest Territories, where the successful candidate will be producing

news stories and features for NNSL’s website, plus NNSL Media’s flagship newspapers, Yellowknifer and

News/North. This position would be a great posting for individuals who enjoy the outdoors while living

in a community with all the amenities a major city has to offer.

From NNSL’s newsroom you will be posting breaking news and story features on a daily basis. The

successful candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of CP Style, plus social media skills and

familiarity with content management systems (WordPress), as well as a valid driver’s licence and a

smartphone.

This position does require some evening and weekend work. NNSL Media offers a competitive salary

package commensurate with experience, including dental, medical and a pension. Relocation funding is

also available.
