The opportunity

We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent Scheduling Systems Administrator (Scheduling Coding/Payroll Worker) role in our North East region.

Responsibilities

  • The Scheduling Systems Administrator is the first point of contact for both staff and client to ensuring that Personal Support Services are appropriately scheduled for each client.
  • The position’s primary responsibility is to develop and implement a master computerized schedule in accordance with client service plans, budgeted hours and staff availability for Supervisor approval. Hours can be in the form of permanent bookings, respite hours and short notice bookings. This requires that a Master Schedule is developed in conjunction with Client, Community Support Lead and Service Manager.
  • The position is involved in client orientation, planning and must have a strong ability to problem solve regarding an individual’s booking schedule. The SSA needs to have a high degree of understanding that each entry into the system impacts the end result of scheduling and our payroll systems.
  • Accuracy is essential and the Scheduling Systems Administrator must be able to manage multiple priorities, take initiative to problem solve with a solid sense of responsibility and task completion; communicate concerns and seek direction as required.
  • The SS Admin must be flexible to the changing demands of the job, manage workload and work area in a healthy and safe manner, and manage change in a constructive and positive fashion to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Customer service, diplomacy, conflict resolution and problem solving are key skills required in this position. The SS Admin has access to highly confidential information and must not breach confidentiality.
  • Work safely according to WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) laws, regulations, MODC policies and procedures.

Qualifications and experience

  • Strong knowledge and abilities in scheduling and organization skills including MS-office platform software (database, spreadsheets, payroll)
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, organization and prioritizing skills; demonstrate initiative to problem solve; and develop novel approaches and solutions
  • Demonstrate accountability, adapt and grow with challenges, excel at teamwork
  • Strong communication skills when dealing with client population that is diverse in age and/or disabilities.
  • Valid CPIC-vulnerable person check (obtained less than 6 months from date of application).
  • Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working with a team

Hours: 35hr/week
