The Maintenance Downtime Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end oversight, coordination and management of all downtime requirements within the commercial flight schedule. This includes continuous and detailed schedule analysis, proactive identification of constraints, and active engagement with all departments within the Tech Ops Branch to ensure operational readiness, schedule integrity, and execution reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the governance of maintenance downtime within the commercial schedule, ensuring all requirements are accurately reflected and aligned with operational and commercial priorities.
  • Review and validate Maintenance Criteria, providing structured and timely feedback to Network Scheduling and Network Planning, ensuring full compliance and optimal integration into the flight schedule.
  • Ensure aircraft routing integrity, validating that all maintenance events and corporate downtimes are executable within the commercial schedule.
  • Define and implement strategies within Tech Ops and SOC to ensure maintenance downtime is respected, preserved, and effectively integrated into the commercial operation.
  • Support the development and implementation of action plans that enhance downtime management and operational performance.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the flight schedule, identifying risks, conflicts, and opportunities to enhance maintenance execution.Act as a central coordination point for the Tech Ops Branch, ensuring alignment, communication, and readiness across all stakeholders.
  • Develop and communicate forward-looking schedule outlooks to Line Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Planning teams, enabling proactive readiness and resource alignment.Present schedule highlights to Operational Planning, outlining short- and medium-term maintenance requirements and identifying key opportunities. Assess and manage the impact of ad hoc schedule changes, ensuring mitigation strategies are implemented to protect maintenance events and minimize operational disruption.Liaise with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Flight Safety, Fleet Transaction etc.) to coordinate and secure aircraft downtime for non-routine activities such as special events or training.Evaluate historical trends and forecasted requirements to standardize and implement optimized downtime strategies that reduce operational disruption and improve schedule stability.Produce accurate, timely statistical reporting (KPI) to support visibility into maintenance performance and downtime utilization.
  • Ensure data integrity across systems, enabling reliable analysis and informed decision-making.

Qualifications

  • University degree in in a relevant field of study an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial flight schedule an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the operation an asset.
  • Self-driven and works well with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills involving data analysis.
  • Excellent working knowledge with MS Office programs and Netline.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

Conditions of Employment
