Arena Operator II - Casual

The District of Summerland is seeking qualified applications for casual work as an Arena Operator II. While on shift, this position is responsible for the building supervision, maintenance and operations of the arena which includes operation of the Zamboni Ice Maker, resurfacing ice, skate rentals, set up for banquets, maintenance, and janitorial duties, etc.

It is preferred that the successful candidate holds a Refrigeration Certificate; however, an Ice Facility Operators Certificate may also be considered. A Class 5 valid Driver’s Licence is also required.

Hours of work for this casual position are on an as needed basis and shifts would include early mornings, daytime, evenings, weekdays and weekends as required.
