The Department of Sociology announces the opening of a regular faculty position in the sociology of work.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Teach classes in the fields of quantitative methods and social statistics;
- Teach sociology at undergraduate and graduate levels;
- Oversee graduate students;
- Conduct research in one of the major fields of sociology, including quantitative methodology.
The successful candidate for the position will be hired as a regular professor at Université Laval as of the date of his/her hiring.

Selection criterias
- Doctorate completed by October 23, 2026, in Sociology or in a relevant discipline
- Qualifications to teach sociology at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels and to provide teachings in the sociology of work
- Teaching experience
- Expertise in the sociology of work
- Strong publication record and achievements in research
The successful candidate will be employed by Université Laval, where undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate teaching activities are conducted in French.

Compensation in accordance with the current collective agreement.
