Warehouse Associate - Cylinder Processor (full time)

The Cylinder Processor is primarily responsible for seeing the cylinder production process through to completion. This begins with empty cylinders returning from customers to filled cylinders ready for analysis and shipment and involves a significant amount of cylinder handling. Process Operators are assigned to various aspects of the cylinder production process (ie. sorting, filling, maintenance) depending on training and business needs.

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will oversee the full cylinder production process, from empty cylinders returning from customers to filled cylinders ready for analysis and shipment
  • Further, you will sort and inspect cylinders before filling, performing visual, physical, and odor checks to determine if requalification or repairs are needed
  • Fill cylinders with a variety of compressed gases and liquids in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Complete and maintain all required quality control documentation to meet company and regulatory standards
  • In this role you will load and ship cylinders on trailers, preparing shipping paperwork and safely handling cylinders, often using a forklift
  • Perform cylinder maintenance activities such as shot blasting, de-valving, valving, and valve repairs
  • Also, you will paint and label cylinders as required and use gas analyzers for basic sampling and testing
  • Consistently meet established safety, productivity, and quality standards in all aspects of your work

What makes you great*

  • You have a High-school graduate or equivalent experience
  • Additionally, you bring one to two (1–2) years of related experience in a plant or distribution environment, with forklift operation experience preferred
  • Safety-conscious, dependable, and accountable in day-to-day work
  • You have basic knowledge of compressed gas cylinders and ability to handle / manipulate various cylinder sizes and weights as required
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • You show strong attention to detail with basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds

This is a new position with an hourly rate of $42.02.
