Category Manager - Drilling & Completions (Supply Chain)

Eram Talent is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Category Manager for Drilling & Completions within the Supply Chain division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire procurement category lifecycle for drilling and completions equipment and services, ensuring optimal supply chain performance to meet business objectives.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and deep industry knowledge to develop category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies for drilling and completions materials, equipment, and services.
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier assessments to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
  • Lead negotiations and contract management with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, projects, and operations teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.
  • Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage category budget and support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Ensure alignment with company procurement policies, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in category management or strategic procurement within the drilling and completions sector.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling and completions products, vendors, and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the oil and gas industry is preferred.
