About the Role
Gap Inc. is looking for a strategic and analytically driven Senior Manager of Finance to lead financial operations within our Marketing Shared Services function. This highly visible role sits at the intersection of finance, marketing, and technology — owning our Anaplan planning ecosystem, delivering executive-level spend insights, and partnering across brand and media teams to drive smarter marketing investment decisions across the portfolio.

What You'll Do
Anaplan tool management
- Own and administer the Anaplan planning platform end-to-end
- Execute monthly data loads and save down completed forecast versions
- Maintain data integrity across all planning cycles
- Serve as primary point of contact for IT troubleshooting and system issue resolution
Monthly financial reconciliation
- Lead monthly reconciliation of marketing spend actuals against budget and prior year
- Identify and investigate variances and root causes
- Ensure financial accuracy across all brands and channels
Executive reporting & insights
- Translate complex financial data into clear executive overviews of marketing spend performance
- Deliver monthly reporting for Gap Inc. senior leadership
- Surface actionable insights and trends across brands Spend optimization & strategic planning
Spend optimization & strategic planning
- Evaluate and recommend opportunities to optimize the marketing spend profile across brands
- Analyze channel mix, timing, and allocation to support enterprise marketing effectiveness goals
- Use financial data to inform decisions around spend strategy
Cross-functional partnership
- Serve as key financial liaison to brand finance teams and marketing and media teams
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment on planning assumptions
- Drive consistent Anaplan tool usage across the organization
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
10+ years of progressive finance experience, including financial planning, analysis, and reporting
Strong proficiency in Anaplan, including model administration, data loading, and end-user support
Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial modeling and data reconciliation
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present financial insights to executive audiences
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional relationships in a matrixed, fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience with AI tools such as Claude or similar platforms; ability to leverage AI to build financial dashboards and accelerate analysis
Background in marketing finance, media spend analysis, or retail industry experience
Familiarity with shared services finance structures and cross-brand budget management
