Open Door Group (ODG), a mission-driven non-profit organization serving communities across British Columbia and Alberta, is looking for a Business and Process Analyst to join our team!
Salary: Salary: $72,683.10 to $88,834.90 per year. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
Status: Full-time, permanent
Hours of Work: 36 Hours per week. This role follows a regular Monday to Friday schedule. Occasional flexibility may be required to support meetings, project timelines, stakeholder engagement, or organizational needs.
Location: This position will be remote, with a primary work location of a home office and a secondary work location from the Open Door Group office in the successful candidate's community. Preference will be given to candidates located in Edmonton or Calgary to support collaboration with internal teams and organizational initiatives.

About the Role
Open Door Group is looking for a strategic, collaborative, and innovative Business and Process Analyst to help drive organizational effectiveness, digital enablement, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Business Transformation, this newly created position plays a key role in connecting strategy, insight, and execution. Working closely with leaders, program teams, and stakeholders across the organization, you will identify opportunities for improvement, define business requirements, support transformation initiatives, and help design processes and systems that improve organizational effectiveness and community impact.
This role combines business analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, and change support. You may support initiatives such as process redesign, systems implementation, service delivery improvements, workflow analysis, requirements gathering, change management, and data-informed decision-making across programs and internal service areas.
What You Will Do
Business Analysis & Strategic Insight
- Conduct analysis to identify emerging opportunities, risks, and organizational challenges
- Facilitate inclusive stakeholder conversations that build understanding and surface valuable insights
- Translate complex issues into clear problem statements and actionable recommendations
- Support the development of business cases aligned with organizational goals and desired outcomes
- Help anticipate future operational, program, and technology needs
- Promote evidence-based decision-making and continuous learning across teams
- Research and share emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in business analysis, digital enablement, and nonprofit transformation
Requirements Definition & Solution Development
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements
- Translate ideas and business needs into clear, actionable, and outcome-focused requirements
- Ensure strong alignment between business needs, proposed solutions, and measurable outcomes
- Manage evolving requirements and priorities throughout project lifecycles
- Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to co-create practical and scalable solutions
- Support testing, validation, implementation, and adoption activities
Business Process Innovation & Improvement
- Analyze and redesign business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience
- Apply continuous improvement principles to support sustainable organizational change
- Design future-state processes that support innovation, accessibility, and operational excellence
- Support implementation efforts through collaboration, coaching, and stakeholder engagement
- Foster a culture of adaptability, learning, and continuous improvement
Performance, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Support measurement and evaluation activities across systems, processes, and transformation initiatives
- Use data and insights to identify improvement opportunities and inform decision-making
- Develop recommendations that support strategic and operational priorities
- Promote accountability, learning, and continuous improvement across teams
- Support organizational commitments to funders, partners, and communities

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Typically 3+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements management, process improvement, digital transformation, or related disciplines
- Experience working in nonprofit, public sector, government-funded, or community-based environments is preferred
- Demonstrated experience facilitating stakeholder engagement and supporting organizational change initiatives
- Experience supporting digital transformation, systems implementation, or organizational improvement initiatives is considered an asset
- Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the demands of the position
- Required to complete and maintain a satisfactory criminal record
- Occasional travel within British Columbia or Alberta may be required.
