We’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused, relationship-building and results-oriented person to come on board as our Financial Services Associate at our Lloydminster Service Centre, Lloydminster, SK location. As a full-time Financial Services Associate, you are responsible for understanding our members’ financial goals and supporting their achievement through the provision of sound financial advice. How You’ll Be Spending Your Time

Member Experience and Sales

  • Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement
  • Provide account, investment and lending products, within scope of position, to meet member needs:
  • Memberships and accounts including lines of credit
  • Consumer investment products (excluding mutual funds)
  • Non-complex consumer lending products
  • Cards
  • Registered products
  • Safety deposit boxes
  • Mobile banking solutions
  • Day to day banking needs
  • Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and services
  • Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfaction

Compliance and organizational support

  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation
  • Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controls
  • Ensure healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)
  • Positively represent Conexus externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaboration
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies
  • Provide support, assistance and backup as required for retail team

The Experience You Bring

  • 1 to 2 years of Financial Industry Experience in an Advisory Capacity
  • Experience in portfolio management
  • Experience in a Sales position is considered an asset
  • Completion of or working towards the Financial Planner and Personal Financial Services Advice designations and/or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) would be considered an asset

Salary range

$55,276 - $77,117 with 7.5% Short Term Incentive Target
