About Maritime Thermal Solutions

Maritime Thermal Solutions is a Halifax-based homeowner outreach company. We help Nova Scotia homeowners understand their home heating options, the importance of regular heat pump maintenance, and we connect interested homeowners with trusted local HVAC partners. We do not install heat pumps ourselves. Our role is education and coordination, guided by a clear written code of conduct that every representative follows at the door.

The Role

You walk Halifax neighborhoods Monday to Friday and have honest, plainspoken conversations with homeowners about three things:

  • Their heat pump options.
  • The importance of ongoing maintenance. Just like the furnace, the hot water tank, or any other major appliance in the home, heat pumps need regular care to run efficiently and last. A lot of homeowners do not realize that yet, and helping them understand it is part of what you do.
  • You listen, answer questions, and share clear information. You are the person who helps them sort through it without pressure. That conversation is the job.

This is not a high-pressure sales job. Your job is to introduce yourself, answer questions about heat pumps, and if a homeowner would like to learn more, book a free no-obligation appointment with one of our trusted HVAC partners. You never close a deal at the door. If someone says no, you thank them and move on. That is the standard.

What You'll Earn

You start earning from Day 1 of training, not after some probation period.

  • $60 per day base, paid every shift you work, whether you book appointments or not.
  • Commission on every appointment and/or sale for our partners, on top of your base.
  • Weekly direct deposit, every Friday. No two-week lag, no chasing anyone for your money. Most active reps in their first 90 days take home $700 to $1,200 a week base and commission combined. That is roughly $36,000 to $62,000 annualized before you are fully ramped.
  • This is not commission-only. You have a floor. Your commission is the ceiling.

Training That Pays From Day 1

We do not throw you at a door without preparation. Your first week is structured around getting you confident and earning:

  • Day 1: Classroom. Learn the role, the basics of heat pumps, and how to have a calm, helpful conversation at the door.
  • Day 2: Half classroom, half in the field with a trainer.
  • Days 3 to 6: In the field paired with a trainer, working real routes with real-time coaching.
  • By end of week one: You have your own assigned territory and you are equipped to earn commission.

You will not wing it. You will have a script, a trainer, and a territory.

What You Do Need

  • A reliable way to get to Halifax HRM each shift.
  • Availability Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
  • 18 or older, legally able to work in Canada.
  • Comfort working outdoors in Nova Scotia weather (we provide branded gear).
  • A respectful, no-pressure approach. We hold every rep to a written code of conduct.

We run a no-pressure model. That is not a slogan. It is built into how we train and how we measure performance. We track appointments booked, not doors pushed.

  • Assigned territory. You know where you are working each shift, not scrambling for scraps.
  • Team huddles before every shift. Coffee, route plan, wins from yesterday, and a quick pep talk. You are never out there alone.
  • We celebrate the small wins. First booked appointment, first sale, first 5-appointment day. Group chat shout-outs, gift cards, team lunches on Fridays after strong weeks.
  • Real career growth. Top performers move into team-lead or appointment-coordination roles within 6 to 12 months.

Is this commission-only?

No. You receive a $60/day base for every shift you work, regardless of how many appointments you book. Commission is on top of that.

Will I have to pressure people?

Never. Our code of conduct is explicit. If a homeowner says no, you thank them and leave. No following up at the door. No override scripts.
