About the Role
In this position, the Terminal Patroller provides a visible, proactive security presence throughout the Air Terminal Building, curbside, and parkade areas at YYC. Working in a fast‑paced, regulated aviation environment, officers are responsible for patrol, observation, documentation, and response activities that support safe and efficient airport operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular foot patrols throughout terminal, curbside, and parkade areas
- Observing, identifying, and reporting suspicious activity or behaviour
- Responding to alarms and escorting emergency responders as required
- Assisting the travelling public and airport staff when needed
- Supporting monitoring of the Primary Security Line (PSL)
- Conducting Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) when required
- Accurately documenting all patrol activities electronically
This position operates 24/7/365, with officers working rotating day and night shifts.

What You Bring
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Driver’s License, Class 5
- Valid and Active Transportation Security Clearance (RAIC)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong radio communication proficiency
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Capability to perform extensive foot patrols across large areas
- Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to incidents and alarms
- Physical endurance suitable for a demanding patrol-based role
