Practice Areas
You Will Contribute To a Diverse Disputes Practice, Including
- Commercial litigation
- International arbitration
- Fraud and asset recovery
- Construction litigation
- Projects disputes
- Environmental litigation
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage litigation matters with minimal supervision
- Draft pleadings, applications, briefs, and other litigation materials
- Conduct legal research and develop strategic recommendations
- Navigate Alberta court filings, procedures, and litigation processes
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, discoveries, and court proceedings
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide practical legal advice
- Collaborate with lawyers across practice groups on complex disputes
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of commercial litigation experience
- Strong familiarity with Alberta court procedures and filings
- Excellent advocacy, analytical, and legal writing skills
- Proven ability to independently manage files and meet deadlines
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
- Experience working with sophisticated clients across a variety of industries is preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
