About The Opportunity

LRO Staffing is partnering with a national not-for-profit association to recruit a Part-Time Administrative Assistant for an immediate contract opportunity through the end of 2026, with potential for extension or permanent hire for the right fit.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a small, collaborative, and mission-driven organization that serves healthcare professionals across Canada. Working closely with the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the association by providing administrative, meeting coordination, and membership support.

This position is ideal for an experienced administrator who enjoys working independently, establishing processes, and taking ownership of a variety of responsibilities. The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working remotely while supporting stakeholders located across the country.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and monitor shared email inboxes and respond to member inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinate virtual meetings for multiple committees and prepare agendas and supporting documentation
  • Attend meetings and prepare concise and accurate minutes
  • Support the administration of several committees throughout the year, ensuring meetings and follow-up actions are effectively managed
  • Maintain membership records and process membership applications, renewals, and updates
  • Coordinate invoicing and follow up on membership dues and related correspondence
  • Support annual conference activities, including sponsor administration and event-related logistics
  • Maintain organized records and databases and ensure information is accurate and up to date
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with ongoing projects and special initiatives as required
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of a national association serving members across Canada

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • 3+ years of administrative experience; more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Experience coordinating meetings and preparing minutes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, adaptable, and service-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
  • Ability to establish routines and quickly learn new processes
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience supporting membership-based organizations, boards, committees, or associations would be considered a strong asset
  • French language skills would be considered an asset

About the Job

  • Work Arrangement: Remote (candidates must be based in the Ottawa region)
  • Location: Ottawa, ON
  • Duration: ASAP through December 2026, with potential for extension
  • Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday during regular business hours (4 hours per day)
  • Hourly Pay: $25.00 to $30.00
