About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and production expertise, with proven experience delivering coordinated drawing packages for Building Permit and Construction phases. This role requires a high level of proficiency in Revit and the ability to work collaboratively with consultants and internal team members throughout all stages of a project.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare coordinated drawing sets for Design Development, Building Permit, and Construction.
· Support senior staff in technical development and documentation.
· Coordinate and integrate consultants’ information and drawings.
· Review and apply local codes and bylaws to design and documentation.
· Participate in construction administration and site coordination.
· Support and help maintain consistent graphic and technical standards across projects.
· Contribute to internal quality control processes and technical reviews.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of North American experience in production of Working Drawings.
· Strong knowledge of building systems and construction detailing.
· Advanced proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD is a strong asset.
· Experience with rendering software, V-Ray , Lumion, and SketchUp is an asset.
· Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) is an asset.
· Experience with various construction systems, including wood frame, concrete, and steel.
· Solid understanding of building envelope assemblies.
· Contract administration experience is a significant asset.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible for registration in the province of British Columbia.
