THE ROLE

The purpose of the Project Manager is to lead assigned construction projects from award to closeout with full accountability.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Set up and maintain clean, organized project files from project handoff to closeout
  • Take full ownership of project financial performance and gross margin
  • Build and manage project schedules and manpower plans
  • Review and approve major procurement decisions and subcontractors
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts and cost-to-complete regularly
  • Identify risks early and take action before they become problems
  • Lead client meetings and act as the main point of contact
  • Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Coordinator to keep alignment
  • Ensure billing is accurate, timely and supported with proper documentation

EDUCATION

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Business, or related field
  • Formal project management training is an asset
  • Ongoing professional development in commercial construction

EXPERIENCE

  • Commercial construction experienced
  • Experience in exterior cladding, roofing, insulation, or air and water barriers
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Experience with ERP or construction management software
