Our client is hiring a Business Applications & Analyst Lead
Location: Cambridge, Ontario,
4 days per week onsite in Cambridge
Salary: $100-110k
Role: Business Applications & Analyst Lead
Position Summary
The Business Applications & Analyst Lead is an emerging leader role within the IT team, focused on understanding business needs and helping translate them into practical technology solutions.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders and support core systems such as ERP (SAP S/4HANA), reporting tools, and integrated applications. In addition to hands-on business analysis work, this role will begin to take on team coordination and mentorship responsibilities, with the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership position over time.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys working with people, is comfortable navigating both business and technology discussions, and is motivated to develop their leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in business analysis, applications support, or similar roles
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP experience is an asset)
- Experience gathering requirements and working with business stakeholders
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Interest in developing leadership and team coordination skills
- Experience with reporting tools (Qlik or similar) is an asset
Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Solution Support
- Work with business stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities
- Gather and document requirements, and support solution design discussions
- Assist in mapping business processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency or standardization
- Support delivery of changes and enhancements across systems such as SAP S/4HANA and reporting platforms
- Help ensure solutions meet business needs and are practical and user-friendly
- Provide support during testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build strong working relationships with business teams
- Participate in workshops and discussions to clarify requirements and align on priorities
- Act as a point of contact between business users and IT/implementation partners
- Support clear and consistent communication across teams
Team Leadership & Growth (Developing Capability)
- Provide day-to-day coordination and support for a small team (e.g., Business Analyst, ERP Administrator)
- Offer guidance and knowledge sharing where possible, while continuing to develop leadership skills
- Help establish consistent practices for documentation and solution delivery
- Take on increasing responsibility for prioritization and team support over time
Applications & Data Support
- Support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of business applications
- Assist with data quality and reporting needs to support better decision-making
- Work with tools such as Qlik (or similar) to support reporting and dashboards
- Help ensure systems and workflows support business processes effectively
Continuous Improvement & Learning
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and tools
- Support initiatives related to automation, reporting, and system enhancements
- Stay curious and open to learning new technologies, including emerging tools like AI
- Contribute to building more structured and consistent ways of working across the team
