THE ROLE

As a key member of the Vanee Farm Centre Inc. team the Setup & Delivery Technician will report to the Service

Manager and will be responsible to provide quality customer service in a professional and profitable manner to Vanee

Farm Centre Inc. customers. We are looking for an individual who has attention to detail, works well on a team, is a self-

starter with a positive outlook and is committed to maintaining a clean and safe work area. The ideal candidate will be

expected to:

  • Assemble, inspect, and prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery, ensuring all units meet dealership

quality and safety standards.

  • Diagnose, repair, and recondition customer-owned and dealership equipment to maintain optimal performance

and reliability.

  • Perform equipment setup, testing, and pre-delivery inspections to verify proper operation and customer readiness.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to support equipment demonstrations, customer deliveries, and product

knowledge initiatives.

  • Work closely with the Parts department to identify required components, manage parts requests, and ensure

timely completion of repairs and service work.

  • Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and inventory-related information in accordance with

dealership procedures.

  • Provide professional customer service by answering technical questions, explaining equipment operation and

maintenance requirements, and assisting with parts and service sales opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of Grade 12 or a Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) issued by an accredited Canadian

province is required. International educational credentials must be equivalent to a Canadian Grade 12 diploma or

CAEC.

  • Agricultural Equipment Technician Trade Certification (considered an asset);
  • Journeyman Red Seal (considered an asset);
  • Current Apprentices will be considered;
  • A high level of mechanical/technical competence;
  • Background in Agriculture, and/or Heavy Duty;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract;
  • Class 3 with Airbrakes (preferred);
  • Able to work in a highly active environment;
  • Must be physically capable of performing heavy manual labour for extended periods of time, including but not

limited to, being able to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.

The starting wage for this position is $27.00 per hour. Compensation may be adjusted based upon the successful

candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
