Independent Sales Rep - Fasteners

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new customers and sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Promote and sell fasteners.
  • Build relationships with distributors, contractors, manufacturers, fabricators, roofing companies, OEMs, and end users.
  • Conduct sales meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Generate and follow up on quotations, project opportunities, and blanket order agreements.
  • Work closely with internal sales and operations teams regarding pricing, inventory, logistics, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and client visits.
  • Maintain regular communication and activity reporting.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and territory growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in fasteners.
  • Existing network within construction, roofing, metal building, manufacturing, or industrial distribution sectors.
  • Strong understanding of fastener applications and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage territory effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned regions.
