Latincouver Cultural & Business Society is a non-profit organization that connects over

100,000 Latin Americans and Latin culture enthusiasts across Western Canada. We are a

recognized point of reference for the Latin American community in British Columbia,

supporting cultural exchange, community development, and economic inclusion.

We are seeking an Event Promotion Volunteer to support street promotion activities and

content creation for upcoming events such as Latin American Heritage Month (LAHM) and

Carnaval del Sol. This role is ideal for energetic, outgoing individuals who enjoy interacting

with the public and contributing to social media and community engagement initiatives.

Position Details

Position Type: Volunteer

Hours: 10–15 hours per week (Flexibility weekends)

Compensation: Volunteer position

Commitment: Minimum 3 months (or event-based commitment)

Location: In-person (Vancouver, BC – outdoor & event-based)

Key Responsibilities

● Support street promotion activities according to the Social Media Promotional Calendar.

● Capture photos and videos during street activations and promotional events.

● Support the organization and transfer of audiovisual materials to the Social Media team.

● Contribute to creating engaging content for social media platforms.

● Support the distribution of promotional materials such as flyers and merchandise.

● Represent and promote Latincouver events (e.g., Carnaval del Sol, LAHM) in a positive and engaging manner.

● Coordinate with the Social Media and Marketing teams to align content and messaging.

● Demonstrate knowledge of upcoming events and share information with the public when needed.

● Support additional promotional and event-related tasks as required.

Requirements and Skills

● Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with the public.

● Strong communication skills in English.

● Willingness to work outdoors and participate in street promotion activities.

● Interest in content creation, social media, and community engagement.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Previous experience in street promotion or events is an asset.

● Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.

● Owning or having access to a camera or basic recording equipment is an asset.
