Mechanical Designer

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Mechanical Designer.

This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your design expertise in a growing and innovative engineering environment. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for developing mechanical solutions from concept through to production. You will have the chance to apply your skills in SolidWorks while working on challenging OEM projects that directly impact product quality and performance.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design components and assemblies for OEM applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Support product development from concept to final release.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to company design standards.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer or similar role.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Experience creating detailed drawings and BOMs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with OEM product design.
• Background in sheet metal design and fabrication.
• Familiarity with GD&T and design for manufacturability.
• Exposure to ERP/MRP systems.

Location: Cambridge area, Ontario

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000
