Job Description
Disassembly of engines and powertrain components and subassemblies
Engines: oil pans, water manifolds, fuel rails, filter bases, regulator housings, oil coolers, after coolers, and front and rear housings, etc as required.
Power Train: final drives, torque convertors, brake groups and transmissions including pump, hose/tube removal from the housings, etc as required.
Other duties may include but not be limited to:
steam cleaning
sandblasting, including Subcomponent pieces requiring sandblasting for salvage
parts washing, ensuring parts are washed properly prior to moving to Assembly stage.
draining of fluids, oil & coolant
maintaining contamination control standards in the shop, including cleaning of tear down/assembly areas.
Qualifications
Journeyperson Ticket considered an asset
Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset
Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
Previous engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
Important Details
This position is based out of Kamloops, on a 7x7 Continuous Shift
A condition of employment may be to be fit tested and wear a respirator
