THE POSITION

• Manages highly complex Commercial General Liability claim investigations, including coverage issues, liability, compensability, and damages
• Determines when claims should be settled or litigated and implements appropriate resolution strategies
• Effectively manages loss costs and claim expenses
• Coordinates discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel and attorneys
• Provides recommendations to management regarding complex CGL claim strategies, processes, and resolution approaches
• Maintains current knowledge of provincial/federal regulations, industry trends, and emerging risks impacting CGL claims

MUST HAVES

• Minimum 8 years of claims experience with significant exposure to CGL claims
• Advanced technical knowledge and high‑exposure claim resolution
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; professional designation preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business‑related software
