Digital Media & Communications Coordinator

Part Time Support Position

Evergreen Catholic Separate School Division invites applications for a part time support position to work as the Digital Media & Communications Coordinator. Working 17.5 hours per week, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for creating engaging visual and digital content that promotes Evergreen Catholic Schools. This includes graphic design, social media coordination, photography, videography, and multimedia storytelling across a variety of platforms. Working directly with the Superintendent this position will strive to strengthen the Division’s brand and engage students, families, staff, and community member through compelling visual communications and marketing initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design engaging print and digital marketing materials using Adobe InDesign, Canva, and related creative software.
  • Create social media content, including graphics, short-form videos, reels, stories, and campaigns for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
  • Capture and edit photography and videography showcasing students, staff, schools, and division initiatives.
  • Produce promotional videos, testimonials, event highlights, and recruitment-focused content.
  • Under the direction of the Superintendent, manage and maintain the Division’s visual identity standards and brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with schools to develop creative content that celebrates student achievement and school culture.
  • Coordinate digital advertising campaigns and assist with recruitment marketing initiatives.
  • Support special events through photography, videography, graphic design, and promotional materials.
  • Develop social media content calendars and monitor engagement analytics.
  • Assist with website content updates and digital communications projects as required.
  • Write concise and engaging copy to accompany visual content and social media campaigns.
  • Support internal and external communications initiatives as required.
  • Maintain basic understating of web technology.

Required Knowledge & Competencies

  • Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs.
  • Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students, and support the Division’s goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation.
  • Completion of a post-secondary education in marketing, media, communications or equivalent post-secondary training and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated familiarity in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro (or equivalent video editing software).
  • Proficiency with Canva for marketing and social media content creation.
  • Strong photography and videography skills, including shooting, editing, and storytelling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current social media trends, best practices, platform-specific content strategies, branding principles and visual identity standards.
  • Experience creating and editing video content for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent writing abilities, both in print and electronic media.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential along with strong attention to accuracy and details.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and adapt to changing deadlines/ priorities.
  • Must be a team player with a commitment to completing tasks and projects and flexible with their time.
