We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Lawyer to join our Solicitor department. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial desire, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

As a valued member of our growing Solicitor Practice Group, you will play an important role in the continued success and expansion of the team. The group is led by a dedicated practice leader and operates with a coordinated approach to practice management and strategic growth, ensuring that each lawyer is well supported and positioned for long-term success.

You will be part of a highly collegial and collaborative environment where mentorship, both formal and informal, is an integral part of our culture. The firm conducts annual performance reviews and maintains an active Associate Committee, which hosts monthly roundtable lunches. These forums provide meaningful opportunities to stay informed about firm initiatives and to engage directly with leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: $85,000–$140,000 annually, with performance-based bonus opportunities. Individual pay is determined by market rates, job-related skills, relevant experience, and an internal equity review of other employees’ salaries.

The successful candidate should have

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) is required.
  • Be a member of good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
  • Two to five years of commercial corporate experience.
  • Strong research and writing skills as well as a demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues.
  • Have proven effective client and practice management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively with lawyers and staff
  • An entrepreneurial desire, positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and eager to participate in the marketing of the firm to the local and regional communities
  • A desire to become engaged in the community for personal and professional development purposes, and to develop your own referral network to generate new clients and new revenue sources.
