Paladin Security is Hiring a Full Time Security Team Lead!

Location: Seneca Polytechnic – York Campus, Toronto, ON

Schedule: Rotating Continental (06:30–18:30 / 18:30–06:30)

Pay Rate: $23.00 – $24.50/hour CAD

Employment Type: Full-Time

Averaging Agreement: Overtime paid after 88 hours

Overview

Paladin Security is seeking a motivated and professional Security Team Lead to join our team at Seneca Polytechnic – York Campus. This unique environment combines Seneca’s hands-on learning approach with York University’s vibrant academic community, creating a dynamic campus setting where leadership, adaptability, and collaboration are essential.

As a Team Lead, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors. You will provide frontline leadership, mentor security personnel, coordinate campus security operations, and work closely with campus partners to ensure exceptional service and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Security Guard activities across academic buildings, residences, and event spaces
• Assign and monitor patrol duties, access control activities, and incident response operations
• Collaborate with York University Security and other campus stakeholders
• Lead incident investigations and ensure timely, accurate documentation and reporting
• Provide leadership and support during special events, guest speaker engagements, and high-profile campus activities
• Mentor new employees and assist with ongoing staff training and development
• Ensure compliance with Seneca and York University security policies and procedures
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture
• Support cross-campus learning initiatives and collaborative security programs

Requirements

Must Have

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• WSIB-Approved Standard First Aid & CPR Level C Certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and diverse campus environment
• Ability to provide certifications in:
• Use of Force (UOF)
• Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Must not be a current Seneca student attending York Campus

Nice to Have

• Previous post-secondary campus security experience
• Previous healthcare security experience
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
• Supervisory or leadership experience within a security environment

UOF / MOAB Certification Program

Applicants who do not currently possess UOF and MOAB certifications may participate in Paladin Security's certification program prior to onboarding.

• The certification program is a prerequisite for employment
• Training costs are fully covered by Paladin Security
• A six-month commitment to the position and availability is required
• Participation in the program is unpaid
