We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure the safe, reliable operation of our manufacturing facility in Stratford, Ontario.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, team development, safety performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

What You'll Do

As Maintenance Manager, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership for all maintenance activities within the facility.

Key responsibilities include

  • Lead the maintenance department to ensure safe, reliable operation of all production equipment and facility systems
  • Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and equipment reliability
  • Analyze maintenance KPIs and downtime trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and support emergency breakdown response activities
  • Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians and supervisors
  • Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order execution
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor activities
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant expansion activities
  • Build strong partnerships with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Leadership teams
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide leadership support during off-hours as required

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a hands-on maintenance leader who is comfortable balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution on the plant floor.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A), Electrician (442A/309A), or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background
  • Minimum 4-6 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience leading preventative maintenance and reliability programs
  • Proven ability to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement
  • Experience leading skilled trades teams and developing employees
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems, Microsoft Excel, and maintenance reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Plastics manufacturing experience
  • PLC troubleshooting knowledge
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory
  • Experience supporting capital projects and equipment installations

Compensation & Benefits
