About the Position
We are seeking a licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) to join a skilled maintenance team supporting a high-volume manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing a wide range of production equipment and mechanical systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting plant performance through both preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
- Install, modify, align, and commission new machinery and mechanical systems.
- Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other industrial equipment.
- Fabricate, repair, and replace machine components using appropriate tools and maintenance practices.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Participate in equipment upgrades, shutdowns, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues effectively with operations and maintenance teams.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification.
- Previous experience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment within a manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working with conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and power transmission equipment.
- Experience with equipment installation, alignment, and commissioning is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Location: Grimsby, ON
Shift: 3-Shift Rotation
Compensation: $48-50/hour
