Campbell River Christian School is accepting applications for a Career Programs Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. CRCS is a K-12 independent Christian school committed to assisting parents in raising, educating, and training children in a biblical worldview so they may become active disciples of Jesus Christ. We are seeking a thoughtful, organized, and relational individual who can help strengthen career education opportunities for our students while reflecting the mission, vision, and values of CRCS.

Position Overview

The Career Programs Coordinator will support the development and coordination of career education opportunities at CRCS, with a particular focus on building a sustainable Dual Credit and Work Experience program for secondary students.

This role will include working with students, families, staff, post-secondary partners, employers, and the Coastal Partnership group, which includes five other school districts. The successful candidate will help CRCS develop clear systems, strong partnerships, and meaningful pathways that support students as they explore career, trades, post-secondary, and workplace opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support CRCS's Dual Credit and Work Experience programming.
  • Work with the Coastal Partnership group to help build a sustainable dual-credit program within CRCS.
  • Attend regular Coastal Partnership meetings and communicate relevant updates to CRCS administration and staff.
  • Support students in exploring career pathways, post-secondary options, trades opportunities, and workplace learning.
  • Assist students with applications, documentation, timelines, and program requirements for Dual Credit, Work Experience, and related career programs.
  • Collaborate with administration, teachers, families, and community partners to support student planning.
  • Liaise with post-secondary institutions, employers, local organizations, and community partners.
  • Help develop and maintain systems for tracking student participation, documentation, safety requirements, and reporting.
  • Support the promotion of career education opportunities through announcements, presentations, student meetings, parent communication, and school-based materials.
  • Assist students with basic career readiness skills, including resumes, applications, interviews, workplace expectations, and professionalism.
  • Monitor and support students involved in Work Experience placements, including communication with employers when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate care, discretion, and professionalism in all student, family, school, and employer communications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A valid BC teaching certificate or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience teaching or supporting secondary students.
  • Knowledge of BC graduation requirements, career education, Work Experience, Dual Credit, and post-secondary pathways.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage timelines, records, applications, and communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, staff, employers, and community partners.
  • The ability to guide students with varying strengths, interests, and needs.
  • A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Familiarity with MyEdBC, Google Workspace, and related digital tools is an asset.
  • A valid BC Driver's License and access to reliable transportation is an asset.
