Job Summary and Requirements
This is a permanent full-time position working 75 hours bi-weekly.
Reporting to the Manager, Building Maintenance, this position is responsible for:
- Housing Maintenance - Overseeing the maintenance of Yukon Housing Corporation’s housing units.
- Construction Projects - Managing building repairs, renovations and small-scale construction projects for Yukon Housing Corporation’s housing units.
- Developing, tendering and managing maintenance service contracts.
- Lending Programs - Provide technical support to the Community Partnering and Lending branch for various lending programs.
Essential Qualifications

- Technical Certification or Journeyman Trade Certification or working towards either in a building or other related discipline.
- Experience working in the residential building industry in the maintenance and construction fields, preferably with project management experience.
- Experience developing estimates, scopes of work and maintaining project budgets.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

Candidates should have and may be assessed on:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong client service and interpersonal skills including tact and judgment
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize workloads to meet critical deadlines on many completing priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Conditions of Employment
- Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license
- Valid RCMP security clearance.
- Required regular travel throughout the Yukon Territory trips lasting 1-2 days in duration.
